Day 6

Today was spent at the airport distributing surveys and collecting data. Though there was an issue at the airport of who we were and why we were there for each of the three shifts, we were happy to see that the Punta Cana International Airport had heightened security.

The daily contest has students working hard to win the reward and one of our USC international graduate students from Bulgaria has won both yesterday and today! Today doubled her previous number and was able to get 60 completed surveys in 2 ½ hours! Great Job Plamena!

Students working on data entry during the morning shift faced a possible crisis when the Foundation’s classroom’s power cut out briefly. Luckily, the students had saved their most recent work and many brought laptops to work on in the event that such occurrence happens again.

Overall, the students are so thankful and happy to be here. Not only is the resort beautiful and people friendly but we also feel pleased in helping the already lush airport better serve tourists who pass though.
